THE TIME IS NOW!
MURDER PODCAST #1 FOC, Ignition takes SDCC, some art, and...a tour?
This is it, my friends.
Now is the time.
We’ve made you wait and you’ve been SO very patient.
Here we are.
Launch time.
FINAL ORDER CUTOFF for MURDER PODCAST number 1 is TODAY, Monday August 4th.
This is your last chance to get to your local comic shop and pre-order a copy of MURDER PODCAST #1.
You probably know, but just in case you don’t pre-ordering a copy of a comic book— ESPECIALLY one by a new company like IGNITION PRESS is the only way you can really guarantee that your shop will know to order it.
There are a TON of books coming out right now, and every book a shop orders is an investment on their part.
Shops are happy to order a book for you.
They just need to know what you want.
So yeah— please— if you’re excited about my work and want to check out MURDER PODCAST #1…TODAY IS THE DAY!
HOW ABOUT A SNEAK PEEK?
To celebrate the upcoming release of MURDER PODCAST, I wanted to take a moment and share the cover to #2 with you.
Each of these covers features someone out somewhere living their lives…and then hitting play on the weird new podcast that pops up on their phone.
Since MURDER PODCAST #2 comes out in October, I thought it would be fun to set it at a Halloween costume party.
One fun thing about this cover— the giant mask that the devilish killer is based on the huge paper mache mask that sits in my CURIOUS HAUNTS “Odditorium”.
It’s the official mascot for CURIOUS HAUNTS and we’re going to see a bit more of him popping up here and there throughout my upcoming work.
As another treat— here's the lineart for the MURDER PODCAST: COLD OPEN and issues 1 and 2.
THE IGNITION PRESS ROOM AT SDCC
Sometimes you do a thing— swing big.
We at IGNITION PRESS took a big BIG swing this year at SDCC.
The entire crew worked so hard to do something different— something special.
We wanted set our official pre-launch offsite.
In our own space.
And it was absolutely PERFECT.
I’m so proud of the whole IGNITION PRESS team, for not only putting together a full pop up experience complete with creator signings, merch, special events, a fantastic party, and a FULL ON BURLESQUE SHOW based on VOYEUR—the steamy new book from Leah Williams and David Baldeon.
I’m grateful to my son Ethan for joining me on the trip and being a hardworking joy of a human.
I can’t begin to pair down the hundreds of photos I took throughout the week in a way that begins to represent the magic of the space and the people there.
Here are just a few of them—

THE OFFICIAL MURDER PODCAST 2025 SIGNING TOUR???
Hi. My name is Jeremy.
I’m ridiculous.
This September and October, I’m heading out on a massive nation wide signing tour for MURDER PODCAST #1.
It’s an incredible amount of time, work, and organization.
But I believe that it’s exactly the kind of thing we need right now.
Why?
Because for me and the folks at IGNITION PRESS, comic books are about connection.
Some of my favorite memories are from visits to comic shops.
I want to spend time in as many shops as I can on this tour— visiting with the staff and with YOU.
In typical fashion, I’m going a bit rogue sharing this with you all.
And while I can’t yet share the locations on the tour, I CAN say that we’ve got a whole slew of exclusive extra stuff I’m going to be bringing along me, including—
TWO MURDER PODCAST #1 variants and an exclusive t-shirt that you’ll ONLY be able to get on this tour.
Okay- that’s it for this one.
Here’s a pic of me and my boy at SDCC to wrap things up.
It’s been an amazing, absolutely exhausting couple of weeks.
I’m so grateful for everyone who made it such a truly special time.
Indulge me just one more time—
If you’re excited about MURDER PODCAST #1, please reach out to your local comic shop, tell them how awesome they are, and ask them to order you a copy.
It’d mean the world to me.
Here’s a handy dandy link to find a local shop near you—
I appreciate you all.
Until next time—
Cheers!

It seems you’ll be pretty busy this fall. Will you still have time to do 31 Days of Halloween this year?
Having the offsite location for SDCC was a great idea. Excited to get issue 1 when it drops.
