That new company name, returning to NYCC, 31 Days Of Halloween, annnnnd THE BEAUTY tv series.

I was working on this before leaving for NEW YORK COMIC CON.

I did the thing— you know, the thing where you say to yourself “I’ll finish this during my down time at the con.”

I’ve been at this for…a while now. You’d think I’d have learned that there really isn’t “down time” at a convention. ESPECIALLY given everything we were doing this year.

This is a whole new kind of trip for me.

Sure— I’ve done NYCC dozens of times. But this is my first official trip with the new company. You know— the one that I said we’d be naming soon?

WELL, I think it’s time we did that.

BUT FIRST…

THE BEAUTY TO FX!

Dang! I’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while…

I’m INCREDIBLY excited to finally be able to share that THE BEAUTY, the comic series I co-created with Jason A Hurley is headed to FX in 2025!

The eleven episode series is being developed by Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters (AMERICAN HORROR STORY), along with an entire slew of amazing talent (with more to be announced soon).

WE HAVE IGNITION!

IGNITION PRESS is here!

Over the weekend, my partners Filip Sablik, Jamie S. Rich, Eric Gitter, and I flew in for NYCC to take meetings and throw a bit of a coming out party.

It felt fantastic to be able to share the name and logo for our new company with everyone. We’re really proud of it.

We’ve had to be a bit hush hush for a good while now, but I’m sure you get how it is.

Here are a few shots from the fantastic time at the party—

I can’t begin to express how great it felt to be surrounded by so many friends and colleagues as we celebrated IGNITION PRESS.

The venue, food, and drinks at LEÑA were perfect. The company— even better.

But yeah— IGNITION PRESS is just getting started.

This is just the spark.

We’re down to the final week of October and 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN!

I’ve had an absolute blast this year drawing so many of my favorite characters from horror films and TV.

As with every year, this collection will be available in my online store at 9:00am on October 31st!

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS…

Recently I decided to start sharing a peek at some of the things I’m enjoying lately.

The idea is pretty simple—

They can be movies, books, comics, music, random things— whatever.

New or old or new to ME.

This time it’s my new vintage style jacket from Master Supply Co, the DC Comics Compact Editions, the tasty snack perfection of Bare Banana Chips, and the lovely special edition bottles I picked up at the ANGEL’S ENVY whisky tasting event that I was recently lucky to attend.

The world is a weird, all FAR too often negative place.
